Project Life experiment

I had never tried Project Life. I have used pockets before. But the cute little cards make that old pocket system perfect! Easy, fast and cute! Below is the set I used!

So here is the experiment...I got out one year of pictures that have been stowed away in a box for 10 years. The Everyday Adventure Project Life card Collection and accessory pack. And a package of Project Life page protectors, the variety pack. Then I looked at the clock.  Ready, set, go! 9 hours later- ONE YEAR DONE! It was so fun.  I haven't scrap booked for a long time. My kids loved it too. Even the grouchy teenagers.  They were so cute then....sigh. One problem though.  My youngest is wondering where the pictures of her are. Better get another year done!!! BTW I still had lots of cards and accessories left, plenty for one more year. And did you notice some of my pictures don't fit in the pockets? Ya, I used to print them on the smaller size so I could get more on a page. I thought I was so clever, now I wish they were bigger.  They still work in the pockets, some of them needed a little washi tape to hold them in. Don't be afraid to cut your pictures too. I tried not to cut right across a face, but sometimes it couldn't be helped! Well, have fun doing yours!

Spiral flowers aka Rosettes

It would be a little hard to mail a card using this die, but it sure is pretty. To make them crunched up a little, just turn the flower upside down and hit it.  Great for getting out your frustrations:)

Susan Adams made this beautiful card to get us ready for Fall! I love these movement cards. One reason might be that there isn't much room on the back to write much:)

Bottle Topper- Bring on the Boos!

Time to get planning those halloween parties! How 'bout a tag for your Boos. It would make a cute gift for a neighbor or co-worker too. The tag is made with a 6x2-1/2 inch piece of cardstock. Scored at 1-3/4".  Then punch with the 1-1/4" punch to hang on the bottle.

Frightful Wreath with treat bags

Here is a fun wreath and treat bag class. I wasn't in love with this wreath kit as it was displayed in the new Holiday catalog. But at the convention Sara changed it up and made a treat bag with the remaining pieces. So I had to make my own.  I was able to make 8 treat bags. I added a piece of ribbon and a tag on the bags. There is a little bit of prep, you need to cut your web in half.  Then cut one half in 8 pieces.
Here is the original
S&P Recipe:
Chevron tag a bag (131370)
Frightful Wreath Simply Created kit (135866)
Halloween Street stamp (136567)
Merry Everything stamp set (w...135068, c...135071)
Note Tag Punch (135860)
Cut about an inch off the side of striped piece. Then cut it in 8 equal parts
Cut your web like this.
These are the pieces you will need to add to the kit.
This is what you need for each bag.
Fold your web, in then out.
Heres's how it will look from the side
You are going to want some of these!!
Oops kinda blurry. Put hot glue inside fold and squeeze.
Do it all the way across in each fold.
Flip it over and put glue on the other side in the folds.
glue the ends together
yours should look like this!
